In regards to earthquake and national calamities, as a country, Bangladesh has to take massive steps. Forward Party has narrated these steps in a logical manner. Please read, give it a thought and share with all.
FORWARD PARTY believes that the government should act quickly in association with BUET & other universities, REHAB and relevant stakeholders to look into the status of the durability of BUILDINGS in Bangladesh. Government should form RAPID VOLUNTEERING TASK FORCE to mitigate the damage in a post-earthquake condition. Government ought to look into the matters of Commander in Chief of the country in Case of natural calamity because 1st, 2nd and 3rd line of defense has to be there and passed in the parliament so no issues cloud the situation in case of any major fatality. This concept should pervade every entity and concern in #Bangladesh.

FORWARD PARTY urges the government to develop MEDIA based informercial in case of earthquake and other calamities. FORWARD PARTY also believes that a JOINT Military task FORCE be developed in association with at least 20,000 plus volunteers in Dhaka and 10,000 in Chittagong and other cities with at least 5000 or slightly more volunteers. The volunteers should include doctors, nurses, engineers, para-medicine workers (male and female), etc. We also recommend that the Government earmark funds for special earthquake proof shelters & earthquake safe medical hospitals for displaced people. Government has to work out measures to stop quickly gas pipeline leakage or ensure stoppage in case of a severe earthquake and the same has to be done for the national electric power grid facility. These are national issues and very comprehensive rollout plan has to be initiated by the Government to stem the deaths in case of severe earthquake/other calamities. In addition to these measures, supply chain issues in food, oxygen, medical supplies, make shift road transport, drone facility, arial cargo support, etc. has to be considered as a mechanism for safeguarding our population.
The citizens of Bangladesh have to play their own roles and every institutions, offices, facilities, schools, colleges & universities must initiative drills and also have their volunteering teams ready for a massive potential earthquake/other calamities. All local and global volunteering bodies like Rotary, Scouts, Lions, Red Cross, etc. have to be all working simultaneously under one command and control system. The political parties may develop strong volunteering communities as well and have special coordination with other party volunteers as well. The government has to build upon these management structures and mechanisms as early as possible through allocating budgetary funds.
Government of Bangladesh, FORWARD PARTY urges upon you to immediately start the plan and implement it. Your score card has not been good in these matters since the inception of Bangladesh, so make extra effort to safeguard Bangladesh in case of a calamity.
